Claude Buckle records the original Nash Mills in his iconic Carriage Print. A super architectural picture showing how the bridge was originally constructed. (From the architectural series)

Bridge carrying railway over Grand Union Canal. 1837. Robert Stephenson, engineer, for London and Birmingham Railway made this bridge originally of Iron. Unfortunately nothing is now left of this structure as it was reinforced in concrete.
