Description
The English Lakes Head of Ullswater Cumberland by Claude Buckle. The well known view is captured from the lakeside. The railway poster was painted in 1959. The original proposal and original artwork survives. (See unmounted fine art prints category) This view was taken the southerly tip of Ullswater looking north. The steamer ferry terminal at Glenridding (Lady of the Lake) is in centre view with the Silver Crag on the right and the slopes of Aira Beck across the lake in the distance.
