Description

Mounted print. Whitstable is a seaside town in northeast Kent, southeast England. It is approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north of the city of Canterbury and approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) west of the seaside town of Herne Bay. In this 1960’s railway poster Claude Buckle paints in his typical style the boats in the Harbour looking across at the Castle House Hotel. The Castle building and grounds have been undergoing a £2.5 million revamp. (2010)    1960
